Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains what information the game Bonkleville: Stomp Party (the "game") uses, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by Bilal Wattoo, publishing as LandB Studios ("we", "us", "our"). It covers the game on Android (Google Play, app ID com.landbstudios.bonkleville) and on iPhone (App Store), and the game's support pages.
The short version
- You don't need an account to play, online too. A free Unity account is optional and only needed for a friends list. We never ask for your real name, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or precise location.
- The game asks your age once. The answer stays on your device. Players under 13 can't type an online name; they get a name picked from a list.
- For online play you can type a username that other players in your room see, or use a picked name. Don't use your real name.
- Your story progress, coins and settings are saved only on your device. We can't see them.
- Online play is optional. When you choose it, the game uses Unity's online services. Unity's servers receive your device's IP address and a random player ID, and pass your moves to the other players in your room.
- This version has no purchases and no ads. A later update may sell coin packs and "No Ads Forever" through Google Play or the App Store; this policy will say so first. The game has no analytics tools and no crash-reporting tools.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- You can delete your online data yourself in the game (Settings > SAVE & PRIVACY > DELETE ONLINE DATA), or ask us to by emailing [email protected].
Who is responsible for your information
Bilal Wattoo, publishing as LandB StudiosEmail: [email protected]
Under data protection laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, we are the "controller" of the personal information described here. Unity Technologies processes it for us as our service provider.
Information that stays on your device
The game saves these things on your phone or tablet:
- your story progress, the in-game coins, supplies and gear you have earned;
- your settings (sound, vibration, camera view, frame rate, detail, button size and position, reduced motion, whether reactions are muted);
- if you have played online, a sign-in token that lets Unity recognise your device's anonymous player ID next time.
We don't receive any of this. Deleting the game deletes it. If you have turned on your phone's own backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud on iPhone), your phone may include the game's save in that backup. That backup is handled by Google or Apple under your own account settings; we can't see it.
Information used when you play online
Online play is optional: story missions and "Play with bots" battles work without it. Only when you choose an online mode (Find a Party, a private room with a code, or online story co-op) does the game connect to Unity's services, and then the following information is used.
- A random player ID. The first time you go online, Unity Authentication creates an anonymous player ID for your copy of the game. It isn't linked to your name, email address or phone number. It lets you create and join rooms, keeps your seat if your connection drops for a moment, and lets the game check that the players in a room are who they say they are. Settings > SAVE & PRIVACY shows its last 6 characters as your "player code", so you can quote it if you write to us. When the game signs in, Unity's software may also send a random ID that it keeps for this installation of the game (an app installation ID). That isn't linked to your name either; Unity uses it to run its sign-in service.
- Your IP address and rough location. Like any internet service, Unity's servers see your device's IP address when the game connects. It is used to connect you, to choose the nearest server region and to run and protect the service. An IP address can show roughly where you are, such as your country or city. The game has no location permission and never asks for your precise location.
- Gameplay information. While you play online, your player ID, your chosen fighter, your button presses, position and score, the preset reactions you send, the room code and, in online story co-op, the story gear and supplies you bring, are sent through Unity's Relay servers to the other players in your room, so that everyone sees the same match. Other players don't receive your IP address, because the Relay server sits in between. Your online name (a username you typed, or a name picked for you from a list) is sent the same way and shown to the players in your room. Usernames are checked against a list of rude words on your device and again by the room's host, and any player can hide a username on their own device or report it to us by email. There is no text or voice chat: the only messages are four preset reactions ("Hello!", "Nice bonk!", "Oops!" and "Good game!"), and you can mute them in Settings.
- Technical information. Unity's services keep technical records about connections and errors so that they can run the service, fix problems and show us usage totals, such as how much online traffic the game used.
We use this information only to provide online play, keep it working and secure, and understand how much the online service is used.
Unity accounts and friends (optional)
If you are 13 or older you can link a free Unity account to keep a friends list. Unity runs the account and its sign-in under its own privacy policy; it holds the email address you use for it, and we don't receive it. Linking attaches the account to your existing anonymous player ID and stores your online name with a number tag (for example StompQueen#4821) on Unity's servers, so friends can find you. Your friends list, friend requests, blocks, and whether you are online (with the code of a private room you are in, so friends can join) are stored by Unity's Friends service and shown to your friends. If you sign in to an account you used on another device, that device's player ID, name and friends come to this one; story progress and coins stay on each device. DELETE ONLINE DATA in the game deletes your player ID, and with it the name and friends information Unity keeps for that player. Your Unity account itself is managed by Unity; you can delete it in your Unity account settings.
Purchases
This version sells nothing. If an update adds coin packs or No Ads Forever, they will be bought through Google Play or the App Store, under their terms and privacy policies. They send the game a purchase record (the product and a transaction ID) so it can add your coins or turn off ads. The game keeps those records in its save on your device so each purchase counts once; we don't receive them. "Restore purchases" asks the store to send No Ads Forever again, for example on a new device. Refunds are handled by Google or Apple.
Information from Google and Apple
If you have agreed on your device to share diagnostics with app developers, Google Play or Apple may give us crash reports and performance statistics about the game. Google and Apple collect these under their own privacy policies. We use them only to find and fix problems.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to deal with your request.
Why we use it (legal bases for players in the EU, EEA and UK)
- To provide the online play you ask for: this is necessary to provide the game to you.
- To keep the online service secure and working, and to understand how much it is used: our legitimate interests in running a safe and affordable game, which we balance against your rights.
- To answer your messages and data requests: our legitimate interests, and our legal obligations when you use your data protection rights.
Who receives it
- Unity Technologies and its vendors (for example cloud hosting providers), who run Unity Authentication, Multiplayer Services and Relay for us as our service provider, under Unity's data processing terms. Unity's privacy information: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Other players in your online room receive the gameplay information described above, as part of playing together.
- The company that hosts these web pages, when you open them: like any website host, it receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. We don't add cookies, trackers or analytics to these pages.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or when needed to protect players, us or others from fraud or abuse.
- A new owner of the game, if it or our business is ever transferred. They would have to keep protecting your information as this policy describes.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your anonymous player ID stays on Unity's servers until it is deleted (by you with DELETE ONLINE DATA in the game, or by us at your request), or until we stop running the online service.
- IP addresses and player IDs in Unity Relay are kept for 30 days. Unity's lobby service keeps player IDs in its logs for up to 30 days and does not store IP addresses.
- Unity's other technical records, such as the app installation ID sent at sign-in, are kept under Unity's own retention rules (see Unity's privacy information above).
- Gameplay information passes through the Relay servers during the match; we don't keep it.
- Emails to us are kept while we deal with your message, then deleted within 12 months of the issue being closed.
- Information on your device stays until you delete the game.
Your choices and rights
- Play offline. Story missions and bot battles send nothing.
- Mute reactions in Settings > PLAYER REACTIONS.
- Delete the game to remove everything it saved on your device. A new install gets a new player ID.
- Delete your online data in the game. Go to Settings > SAVE & PRIVACY, tap DELETE ONLINE DATA, then tap it again to confirm. This permanently deletes your anonymous player ID from Unity's sign-in service. It works whenever you are not in an online room (leave the room first). Your story progress on the device is not touched, and the next time you play online you get a new player ID. Records in Unity's Relay and lobby logs aren't removed by the button; Unity deletes them automatically within 30 days.
- Ask us to delete your online data. Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Bonkleville data" and your player code from Settings > SAVE & PRIVACY. If you no longer have the game, tell us instead the date and rough time you last played online (with your time zone), your device model and any room code you remember. We will delete the player ID record and ask Unity to delete any related records it still holds, and reply within 30 days. Records that Unity deletes automatically after 30 days may already be gone. If we can't find your record, we'll tell you.
- If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
- If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can ask to know, access, correct or delete your personal information. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
- Wherever you live, you can contact us with any privacy question.
Your age and your online name
The first time you open the game it asks how old you are. Your answer is kept only on your device; we never receive it. If you are under 13, the game doesn't let you type an online name and gives you a name picked from a list of game-style names instead. Your username is saved on your device and sent only to the players in the rooms you join; we don't keep a copy. If you report a name, your email app opens a message to us with that name and the room code, and you decide whether to send it. We use reports only to look into the name and improve the filter.
Children
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and players who say they are under 13 can't type an online name. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 played online, use DELETE ONLINE DATA in Settings > SAVE & PRIVACY on their device, or email [email protected] and we will delete the online information we can find.
Security
Online traffic is encrypted: connections to Unity's services use encrypted connections (HTTPS and secure WebSockets), and gameplay sent through Relay uses DTLS encryption. We keep access to our Unity project dashboard limited and protected. No system is perfectly secure, which is why we keep the information we use to a minimum.
International transfers
Unity and its vendors may process information in the United States and in other countries where they or their vendors operate. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by safeguards in Unity's data processing terms, such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we make an important change, such as adding ads, we will say so in the game or on the store listing before the change takes effect.
